I'm a pretty big dork when it comes to fantasies of social utopias. I think Gene Roddenberry (creator of Star Trek) had a really great idea for our future. Where the human race work together for a better society and a better cause. Where there isn't any crime or poverty anymore. Because we as humans, found out that we weren't alone in the universe anymore. So therefor, we had some other race to unite us, and give us someone else to hate on. There wasn't a struggle anymore for equality. Every race of human was united towards working for the same cause. As soon as I would mention to someone why I like that idea for the future, all I can hear is: Stupid kid.
That kind of unrealistic shit will never happen. You need to wake up, and realize that people are vengeful, spiteful, and will always be selfish and hateful towards each other.
I've had a lot of people say things like this to me ever since I learned how to think for myself.
Yeah Motherfucker, I know there isn't such a thing as some perfect world, but what the fuck is so wrong with dreaming about something better?
Hell, even John Lennon knew he wasn't the only one either.
Not that I'm some big Beatles fan or anything.

But, anyways,.. I went off subject for a sec.,
This has to do with Obama. My choice for President.
Not that I have much of a choice. We never do, really. I'm sure McCain is a great American, and definitely has the experience for the job. But, good God, that guy is way too shady for me.
But, he's not the only one. You think Obama is some kind of saint or something? Think Obama has different policy ideas than Bush?
Well, you're dead wrong.
Don't agree?
Well keep on reading, I'll explain why.
I know for a fact that I can say for a lot of people; we are fucking sick and tired of a retarded Bush-Regan ran country.
Sick of having someone misrepresent this place that we love, while making us look like a bunch of ignorant hick cowboys who can't even use the English language correctly in a speech to the nation.
Its amazing how far you can get in this country when you have a rich daddy, and you can get away with dodging the draft while doing an endless supply of drugs all at the same time.
Best Nation in the World, Right?!
Anyway,.. I wanted to support Senator Obama, because he made the most sense of any politician I had ever heard. He seemed to speak so eloquently, and damn it if he didn't have some of the same hopes and ideas for this country that I did. He seemed (and still does) to be a real beacon of change and better representative to the rest of the world, that we as Americans have ever had before. I mean, come on people, this is what we've been waiting for. Someone in big government, to save us from big government!
But, wait a sec.
That sounds almost as unrealistic as my fantasy in a Star Trek perfect utopia.
If you look at the facts about Obama, he's got an amazing record in the Senate.
But, he's also got a record of voting with President Bush, on issues such as voting to invade Iraq for one. Of course this is when there were the claims of Weapons of Mass Destruction, and then we realized there wasn't a fucking firecracker.
And he also voted to reauthorize the Patriot Act, (which if some of you don't know what that is, look it up. It's pretty much Bush's comparison to Hitler)..
and Obama also helped the ruling/rich class at the expense of the average American worker by supporting the so-called bail out. Giving nearly a trillion dollars in tax payer money to the multinational banking industry.
But, I'm not all retarded.
I know that if you're a working class mother or father trying to get a home loan so your kids can have a nice roof over their heads, won't be able to do so if the banking industry is suffering.
But Obama pretty much gave mine and your money to those greedy bastards. And some of those lenders need to be locked up like Martha Stewart, for real. What I'm saying is that, especially in politics, it's really, really hard to trust anyone.
And for all this change, that he keeps talking about to actually take place, it's not going to be on Obama to make the change,
it's going to have to be on the people that want it bad enough.
But like they say,.. if you're dumb enough to vote for them, then you're dumb enough to believe in them.
But, my dumb ass will still vote for Obama.
Why?
I've already told you.
I don't have much of a choice. We never really do.
It can be either a hard or easy choice between the lesser of two evils.
Democrats or Republicans... Douchebags or Turd sandwiches,...
....either way, overall, there just aren't that many people who can suck up and butt kiss that much to get that far into politics in the first place.
It's sad world, but unfortunately that's just the way it is
